Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley is among the top reggae and dancehall acts that have so far been named to perform at the 17th annual `heart throb of summer` show this July.
Reggae Sumfest 2009 will heat up on Thursday July 23rd with performances from some of dancehall`s best, including Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Elephant Man, Lady Saw, Busy Signal, Spice, Kip Rich, D’Angel, Konshens, Prodigal Son, Black Ryno, Jah Vinci, Charly Black, Flippa Mafia and I-Octane.
On Friday night, July 24th, a series of conscious vibes will take over Montego Bay with performances from Morgan Heritage, Jah Cure, Coco T, Queen Ifrica, Dub Tonic Kru and Jazmine Sullivan.
And on Saturday, ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley along with Nas, Inner Circle, Tarrus Riley, Lutan Fyah, Etana, Da’ville and Rhaatid, are set to heat up the stage.
The world’s greatest showcase of reggae music will officially open on July 19th and close on July 25th. Sponsors for the 2009 event include Digicel, Air Jamaica, Ocean Spray, Jamrock Magazine and the Jamaica Tourist Board among others.
